Spring has popped into view more obviously in the last week here. To those of us who spend more time in the outdoors however, spring probably started five weeks ago! Brighter, warmer days are here, winter is over. New post on the blog this morning. Enjoy your weekend.
It's been one of those days that swing between late winter and early spring. Either way, the confetti is out.
Getting that spring feeling today. I've been watching winter slowly recede the last few weeks and I was determined this morning to get out for a morning stroll with my binoculars and see (and hear!) the bird activity. I was not disappointed. Some other airborne creatures about too. Plenty of nectar to go around though! Have a great weekend 😀.
Getting out and about, putting the miles in for a few year-long challenges, and exploring some exquisite little Cotswold villages that I am lucky enough to live near. Hope you're all well and keeping as safe as you can.
During a pretty anticlimactic weekend, two things kept me going - this cheerful little thing chirping away in a tree, and one of my year-long objectives which is to walk 1000 miles. As it's the end of January already, I'm pleased to say I'm on track. 95 miles to the good. Not only am I exploring my little town, I am also learning tons via various podcasts, and also keeping winter at bay whilst staying motivated. It's not too late to start if you fancy joining me 😃
A snapshot from a walk in the Brecon Beacons from 2019. Two years ago but still fresh in the mind. Reminiscing on walks gone by is the fuel keeping my adventures alive during lockdown 3.0. One of the many advantages of getting out as often as you can is you tend to have little regret. New blog post available now on the subject.
